Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing technique developed over 2,500 years ago by Buddist monks, it is typically carried out on a futon on the floor and generally takes a minimum of an hour and a half to be performed correctly and totally. However, sessions can be tailored to focus on certain problematic or painful areas such as the lower back, shoulders or neck.

Thai massage is sometimes referred to a lazy mans yoga because it incorporates alot of stretching in addition to the massage. Thai massage is performed with the receiver wearing light loose fitting clothing (specially provided) and focuses on energy lines or meridians in the body. Traditional Thai Massage is one of the most effective and comprehensive systems to energise and strengthen the body. It promotes the flow of energy and blood as well as assisting lymphatic drainage. It is a rebalancing massage that increases energy flow and flexibility.

Thai massage can be quite deep and vigorous and is a favorite of athletes as it helps to release fascial adhesions and allows energy to flow freely throughout the body. It can also be done gently and rhythmically for those who are more elderly or feeling fragile. The combination of pressure and stretching promotes the flow of energy, helping to ease stiffness and chronic pain..

If you've never tried it before it truly is a Thai-Riffic experience. It will leave you tranquil but energised
